Sorry for disappearing from the topic, it was Just A Bit Much so I took a break.

@fineline apologies for my annoyance before, I misunderstood what you meant by 'made up' - interpreting it as meaning 'not true' rather than 'created'. For me I tend to work out things like this via discussion rather than necessarily looking up sources by others, because for me it's about my own experiences and also the more 'active' process of discussions with others. So I don't really have any links sorry - plus the best resources are inevitably coming from social media sites that are now less than functional!

@Doublethink just for clarity, yes it was an epic crosspost with you before 😂

Re attration and genitalia, not being bothered about multiple types of genitalia is definitely not the same as being bisexual or pansexual. Aside from anything else, there is no one particular set of genitalia that a trans person may have - even with surgery, there are many different types. If someone is attracted to a trans person with one set of genitals who then gets surgery, their orientation doesn't change! Also hormone therapy by itself changes things quite dramatically, and are markedly different to the cis variants.

For me personally I'm only attracted to women, and equally as attracted to trans women as I am to cis women. That doesn't make me bisexual because....they're all still women. I know from my gay trans men friends (that is, trans men/ftm people* who are only attracted to men) that a lot of cis gay men are REALLY into trans men, to the extent that they're disappointed if a phalloplasty is on the cards. Those cis gay men are definitely not bisexual or pansexual, they just like male vaginas as well as male penises. Likewise for me a female penis is massively different to a male penis.

Queer sex also doesn't necessarily emphasise the same things as straight sex in terms of sexual roles and the focus of pleasure. For eg, for a cis gay man who is a top there's really not a big difference at all between the sexual experiences with a trans gay bottom and a cis gay bottom.
