  Remembered the name of B&B pudding with marmalade spread on the bread - it's Osborne Pudding. Supposedly a favourite with Queen Victoria when staying on the Isle of Wight

  O well - seems logical enough, but *Paddington Pudding* sounds better, and has the benefit of alliteration's artful aid!

  Am a little woozy with cold cures today, so drifted easily from Paddington Pudding to the 19th century London private detective, Paddington Pollaky, briefly mentioned in Gilbert and Sullivan's 'Patience'. Sorry about that - I think I'll go back to sleep.
