It was a big weekend for us.

With the college graduation of your oldest granddaughter. She almost did not make it a few years ago. She had spent most of her secondary education online because of the pandemic. Consequently, she had not developed good study skills. After her first year at university, she was expelled for poor grades. She took a year at a local community college to hone her study habits and then was readmitted. She ended up graduating with honors. We are real proud of her. Her degree is in anthropology.

Today, I asked her what her plans were. This summer she is going on an archeological dig in eastern Wyoming. Then, she will apply to a local Cultural Resource and Management program here in town. They are known to do commercial archeological digs throughout the Pacific Northwest. The dig she is going on this summer will be her second dig. We actually cut her graduation cake with the archeological trowel a friend gave her for this summer!

We are really proud of her.

Glad to hear that your grand daughter has found something that she is passionate about and has successfully completed her studies. I do hope working on the digs is satisfying for her.
