A Happy Christmas to you all. We're just getting up and about now and shall be going to the 10 am service. Perhaps we should have stirred earlier and gone to the 8 am service, but we didn't.
Just checked some of the records. They have my joining date that of the new Ship, with over 8,000 visits since then. I am not sure if that is all visits, or counts only posts. Certainly a drop-off, especially in the last year or so.
Christ is born, may you have a joyous Christmas. I am off to bed and will rise when I awake on Christmas morn, as I am not on duty for the mass of the day, as I did the vigil.
Still Christmas Eve here (across the Atlantic). Did our raid on the bakery when they closed for the day to take left over stock for the Community Table. Drove over to the next town for a concert and Christmas Eve service at our adopted church, back home for a glass of sherry beside the tree with kittens going bonkers, off to bed before Father Christmas shows up. Happy Christmas everyone!
Happy Christmas to them what celebrate it! Or solstice if that's your bag, or Chanukah, or Kwanzaa, or Festivus, or Pastamas, or Nothingburger's Eve — whichever holiday is your holiday. Happy holidays to all.
Merry Christmas Shipmates!
We're about to set out for a day of fun/ chaos at grandson Huxley/ Little Beaky's house.
Very thankful that this year he has remained well enough to really enjoy himself.
That’s good. Hope his parents and brothers can enjoy the day as well
Thank you, I'm sure they will- our daughter sent us a glorious photo yesterday of all three of them in Huxley's specialist bed, over-excited and refusing to go to sleep!

Great to read this. Best wishes to you all, young and not quite as young.

I sat behind a couple with Border terriers at the Christmas Day service this morning, and ended up scratching tummies all through the hymns! (also in the church was a black Alsatian and a chubby Jack Russell).
A peaceful and blessed Christmas to all who celebrate. Great carol singing at church, but I won't be sorry to take a break from O Little Town of Bethlehem etc for another year...
42F (5.55C) here this morning. Supposed to get to 50F (10C). Not a record high. All we can make around here is mud people as opposed to snow people this year.
A belated Happy Christmas to all at the end of a long, busy and joyful day. Sunny at last, with a fairly biting east wind, though the frost had gone well before midday.
Mrs. Gramps and I are watching Too Hot to Handel: The Gospel Messiah. Pretty good if you can get it. Probably also on BBC, but I do not know the link for it there,
A quiet Christmas Day, and also today, in Arkland, where the border gate has been firmly closed so that none but residents may pass (we have a key). It opens again tomorrow, for the rush of Twixtmas visitors...
Happy Twixtmas, therefore - that rather anomalous period between Christmas and New Year, which is handy for visits and shopping! The former Mrs BF and I used to take the week off work, and improve the shining hours by doing some decorating of the Finger house.
I used to take the whole week off from work, My mother's birthday was Dec 27th so we would have another big family gathering then. Now my mother is dead, and my father and one brother too,,,

Happy Christmas to all! We spent Christmas Day at our eldest son's being pampered. Yesterday, after a sleep-in, we hosted the rector for a few hours of pure relaxation. Late in the day, our fosterson and his family arrived for a dinner date, so madam rector has now met all of our male children. As they have been based interstate, it was a great joy to see them. Thus, the delayed greeting, as there has been no time for computer chat since Christmas Eve.

As I'm currently in Australia he's been born a lot earlier here than anywhere else (apart from NZ).
Peace be to all!
God bless us every one!

@Gee D we’re glad to see you when you’re here! I hope all is well with you.
Many thanks for your kind comment. All is pretty good thanks. And with you?
All is well here—or at least much better than I deserve.
Merry Christmas!

What are you doing on Boxing Day?
Mrs Vole and I are going to the cinema to see Marty Supreme!
