The Basketball Brackets are forming. Who is going to win? For me, I am rooting for both the Men's University of Idaho Vandels, and the Women Vandals as well. First time I think both teams have been in their respective teams at the same time.
Well, there are no perfect men's brackets anymore. I understand 96% of the brackets were busted after the first round.
There is still one perfect women's bracket as of yesterday. It is owned by Otto Schellhammer. He is 14 years old. He claims he knows nothing about the game. Ya, right. Story here.
Now you know how some of us feel whenever Mornington Crescent appears.
I never cease to be amazed how such a simple game seems to be so difficult for some people to grasp.
Simple to you, incomprehensible and pointless to me. I grasp the “how” of it, sort of more or less at least. I just don’t grasp the “why” of it. Just announce “Mornington Crescent” and get it over with.
It's like being confused by naughts and crosses.
You mean tic-tac-toe?
Our separation by a common language strikes again.
Mornington Crescent is a parody of the social process of a certain type of game - the process rather than the destination is the point.
Yes, I know. But it’s a parody that doesn’ttranslate to my cultural experience. The humor is lost in that translation, making the game seem bewildering and pointless.

I'd have though front leg span would be the limiting factor.
I'd totally watch kangaroos play basketball though.

[ETA, I think I've been the only one playing for several years.]
Gonzaga is still in.
Tonight is the women's side.
Good news Gonzaga women won.
Bulldogs, all the way, now.
But wait! There is still the NBA and WNBA.
P.S. Last time we invaded, Stercus Tauri, we torched the White House.
Hey, this Westerner would not mind if BC annexed the whole West Coast. Probably would have to go through Toronto, though.

Maybe they've never seen it played by Waterloo rules, only the more complex Blackfriars version?
