    For information, the choir was the choir of St. Mary’s, Bourne St, SW1 (there were eight singers, not nine). The organist was the organist at Bourne Street, and a good portion of the congregation had also made the trip from SW1 to join the festivities.

    IIRC, the number of 'The Catholic Hymn Book' follows on from that of the 'English Hymnal' to which it was intended to be a supplement contain that which was too popish for Percy.

    I noticed, in the <more church info> section of this report,that the choir came from some distance away in Bourne Street. It is gratifying to note a parish in one of West London's more properous corners supporting one in a less well-endowed part of the city - especially if members of the congregation also travelled across town to support them.
