The organizers of this service stated a few days afterwards: "With this service we wanted to show that church can be modern and cool. It was also important to us to demonstrate that all of us are equally important, whether Catholic, protestant or non-denominational. We can all celebrate together."
  • It seemed to me like a wonderful idea and a wonderful service. I especially note that they followed a semi-liturgical agenda.

The Carchurching website has just been updated. Photos of the drive-in service are displayed, and there is some further commentary about the service. Here is a translation of parts of the text:
“Altogether there were 68 autos and 180 – 200 people in attendance, who celebrated worship together. One person commented: “It was a service of celebration, a completely different experience than being in church. I could really feel the fellowship.” Another person wrote: “There was hope again. I was able to simply forget about corona during these 2 hours, be part of a fellowship and see church members again – and everything was in accordance with corona restrictions.”
At the bottom of the website is this offer:
“You want to celebrate a drive-in service with your congregation? Then write to us. Together we can arrange a drive-in service. We attend to organizing the location, technology, registration, music and advertising. You attend to the content of the service.”
