This Church definitely had a huge impact on my life. Ever since the church shut down, I haven't been able to find a church that successfully makes me feel the same. My family attended this church from the time I was born to about the time I was a freshmen in highschool. I remember many of Bishop Rick's teaching; I always wanted to pay attention to what he said when I was young. I also remember the church (especially Deacon Matt) took traditional Catholic hymnals, and put an original, energetic twist on them, and thus I can never hear the hymns the same. I attended a protestant school Pre-K through 12th grade, and was surprised that even through my most rigorous theological classes, I was never able to find fallacies in what the church had taught me. The only gripe I have is that the church shut down during an important part of my life; had it not, I probably would have avoided much suffering and sin, but from that suffering came learning and deeper meaning. God bless Bishop Rick Painters soul.
Is the photo at the top of this page really in Phoenix Arizona? Looks to be somewhere in the UK countryside and most definitely not a cathedral.
No. When a comment is made on an old MW report brought over from The Old Ship (this report is from 2014), the software for some reason defaults to the photo from a very recent MW report—in this case, Highway Church in Penryn, Cornwall.
I used to be able to correct these when I was MW Lead Editor. But that was then; this is now. Simon -- have you been abducted by gypsies again or can you make the correction here?
I can't find anything via Google or via the Anglican Church of North America's website. My guess would be that dwindling membership necessitated a reshuffling of dioceses and parishes. In the report I noted that there were about 25 people present, mostly middle aged to old ladies, no children, no youth, no young adults. A sure sign of a dying church.
If the mood strikes me, I may visit another ACNA parish in the area -- there are a few -- and try to find out what happened. It looks like Simon has been abducted by gypsies again, though -- I have a report pending from three weeks ago that hasn't been published yet. Hope springs eternal, but springs do tend to run dry.

And a report to look forward to!
