We have threads for Trump and Musk but so much is happening with other members of the government. It seems only right to not crowd the Trump and Musk ones and give the government as a whole its own thread.
As I said in another thread Margery Taylor Green refused to speak to a British journalist and tore a strip off the poor woman. She also said some things about the UK that were totally untrue. Frankly she should shut up about things she has no idea about. On top of that there is the Signal debacle. Yes I know I am a Brit but giving the government its own thread will be less confusing.

    I can’t say I’m at all keen in the idea of a standing Hell thread on the US government. I think it would be much better, if necessary, to start specific threads as and when events warrant.

    Not that I'm saying that's a bad thing.

    The best thing though was the US journalist who spoke next, asked her to answer the Sky journalist's question. That was an encouraging moment.

    What I find extraordinary is that the views publicly espoused by Marjorie Taylor Greene would be a shoo-in for her being prosecuted in the UK, and probably banged-up because she keeps repeating them, yet she is a member of the legislature in "the greatest democracy in the world".

    We're keeping this thread open for now, but unless some US Shipmates say they appreciate having a general thread, we're going to close it. A specific thread for Green or for the Signal debacle is fine, but we don't think general catch-all threads have worked in the past.

    This US Shipmate definitely does not appreciate yet another general thread about our current crisis.

    We have a thread on the current Congress—complaints about MTG could easily have gone. Signal complaints can easily go in the Trump thread.
