    @Caissa If you do that with @ it will notify the recipient.

    I feel I should point out that the @ function has no effect. I wouldn't have known there was a post for me on this thread. The only way I know is I get emailed an automatic message if someone messages me.

    The @ function should put a superscript number by the globe icon next your avatar and name at the top of the page (if you’re on a desktop, laptop or tablet) if someone tags you. If you click on the globe, you’ll see “Miffy mentioned you in Have you checked your inbox lately?” If you happen to be on the Ship when someone else tags you, an alert will also appear at the bottom of the screen for maybe 30 seconds.

    If you’re on a phone, on the other hand, you won’t see the notification unless you click on the Menu icon (the “hamburger button”). Then you’ll see a number next to your name, but you still have to click on your name and then scroll down and click on “Notifications” to actually see who has tagged you, and in which thread.
