Stay out of our business Kennedy

HugalHugal Shipmate
The US health secretary has advised men over here to carry crusader swords to stop immigrants causing health problems and that English men should be let off using them.
Kennedy Jr keep out of our business. This is in-sighting violence.
One commentator who was into re-enactment asked which crusader sword, there are several. Typical British humour. We can laugh it off but some will take it seriously.

I've said it before, but if Trump and Co. really want to help their far-right pals in the UK, they should stop publically commenting on British affairs. Even if a given Brit isn't offended by MAGA, it's rarely helpful for a movement to have a perception of foreign control.

RFK is crazier than a bag of hammers. Does anybody actually listen to what he has to say?

That may be the reason why nothing regarding this fuckwit seems to have appeared in sensible news outlets here...

After seeing the original post, I looked it up. Can only find one video (which has 65 views in the last 18 hours), but no secondary reporting as yet. It's possible the video was faked, though given he permanently sounds like a man about to breathe his last, it's difficult to tell if it was AI generated.

I remain sceptical as to whether he did actually say this.

  • Thanks.

The video won't play for me, though. I blame Trump.

    OK.
It is being taken semi seriously by commenters here. If it is AI then it is still not helpful. If I was taken in then I feel stupid

My rule is, if there's a question as to authenticity, I have to see the story in legacy media before I give it full credence.

(And, no, that doesn't mean I believe Saddam had WMD just because the NYT said so. I mean things that are alleged to have happened in a publically verifiable manner, eg. the mayor said this or that at a press conference; so-and-so got arrested downtown.

For what it's worth, I wasn't questioning the video when I first posted on this thread. This admin dislikes immigrants, has a habit of spouting off on the internal issues of other nations, and has a cultic faction of followers who glorify the crusades, so it seemed pretty plausible.

Granted, RFK jr. didn't seem like the most likely guy among them to be engaged in this sort of posturing, since I think he's mostly on board to implement his half-kooky medical theories. But I wouldn't have ruled out his harbouring "cultural" views similar to the rest of them.

    Re-enactors must be gutted.

Seems a bit harsh toward re-enactors.
  • Isn't this the guy who had the brain worm?

Yup! And he dumped the carcass of a bear cub in Central Park, which is also a crazy story. To steer clear of UK libel laws, I won't repeat what I've read about what happened to his second wife - I'll just say she's dead and people can read about it in Wikipedia.

Given his general chaos there is no need to make up extra stuff about him - at least google it or try Snopes before repeating it @Hugal
