Shipmeet Wells 9th September?

Does anyone fancy a shipmeet at Wells on the 9th September? Lunch and the Bishops Palace gardens if it’s dry, lunch and the cathedral if it’s wet!

    Looks a distinct possibility, depending on my sate of health at the time. There seems to be a reasonable bus service from Bristol. It would be good to visit Wells again. My last visit was around 60 years ago.

    Parenthetically, there is a Wells in the province of Canada I live in, New Brunswick.

    My bus arrives in Wells at 10:30am and I need to be back at the bus station at 2pm. So a shortish window.

    We have buses, but they are very infrequent!

    We'll be driving - Mr Nen is taking the opportunity to catch up with a friend in Wells. We'll probably arrive around 10am. Shall I meet you at the bus station at 10.30 @Boogie or shall we all meet at the cathedral cafe? I don't know what time others will be able to get there?

    My bus leaves here at 9:30 and it will probably take an hour - road works permitting.

    Darllenwr has suggested that we meet at the archway leading from The market to the cathedral Green at about 12 o’clock. We will be out most of today, but I can Give you my mobile number later today.

    I'll await your phone call, @Boogie . The timing won't really matter as I'm always happy to mooch round Wells.

    Wondering if @Ex_Organist is still planning to join us?

    It would also be lovely to see @Caissa but can appreciate it would be a bit of a trek :lol: .
