Some good news to be thankful for - there was a multi-disciplinary meeting today and pending the stroke rehab team's approval, my mum can go home. She's been really keen to get home, so even if it's only for a short time it will make her happier, and she can say goodbye to the house on her own terms. It's still hard to think that that is what's going to happen, but I think we're all ok with this plan at the moment.
The fact that she can get home at all is absolutely an answer to prayer.
Thanks for the prayers everyone. I didn't have the internet where I was, so couldn't respond.
The Garden of Remembrance where my brother Glenn's ashes are buried is in the valley where we grew up just out of Wellington. Mum and Dad are buried there too and I intend to be when my time comes.
My middle brother ( who lives in the US) and I went back a couple of days later to read the headstones and remember all the people we knew, many of whom were our teachers, parents of friends as well as a few friends, neighbours and old classmates.
I came home to discover that P, a young man who grew up in a house over the road had been killed in a traffic accident. Please pray for his parents D and W. His funeral will be on Wednesday.

Of your charity, could you please pray for my friend R and her parents, who are currently on holiday in Dubai but trying to get home, and for her husband A, who is understandably worried.
Prayers for all that have had their holiday plans disrupted, or find themselves in places that are now in war zones. If things aren't resolved soon I can well imagine that one of my friends will find getting back from his holiday tricky.
Prayers for P the wife of one of my husbands friends who died this week. Prayers also for R her husband.
Prayers for all that need them.
Amen.
Bless you for your prayers.
The Vole mum was much calmer when I visited her at the care home on Saturday and took her for lunch at a local garden centre.
The funeral on Friday for my friend 'T' (actually David) at our church was a beautiful service of thanksgiving led by our excellent vicar.
🕯
To those who prayed for R and her parents, who picked the worst possible time for a holiday in Dubai, thank you. I understand they may be on a flight home today.
Just received a message from my daughter to say they have had to call an ambulance for their youngest son (brother of Huxley/ Little Beaky) who is very unwell indeed.
They have so much to contend with at the best of times and are requesting prayers.
Thank you

Prayers for all those that need them, specially those that cannot ask.
