My eldest brother, Glenn died this morning. I'm going to Wellington on Thursday because that's when my younger brother and his wife will be flying in from Chicago.
The Vole mother went into a care home a few months ago. She has an undiagnosed mental illness. Today she phoned me very distressed because my dad is not answering her calls and she thinks he should be picking her up to go out for dinner. He died 9 years ago.
I'm driving up to see her tomorrow and would value a little prayer.

A tad stressed here. Mr F and I had just got home after an outing to the barber, and were settling down for a quiet evening when he got a call, at 4.30, from the hospital to come in at once 'to be assessed'. Presumably relates to the recent CT scan.
Meanwhile his sister, having just been diagnosed with a potentially serious arterial condition, is being zipped through the NHS. She was scheduled to have an ultrasound this afternoon, and has had a call from the rheumatologist already.
I, otoh, am still waiting to hear about my surgical appointment next week.

Since we are both now being variously treated (me surgery, him radiotherapy) there's a bit of a care deficit. Have called in one friend as emergency backup, but he also full time carer.

Today makes 29 years since I met Daddy Vern on February 22, 1997, at opening night of the Tampa Eagle. And he completely changed my life. I am hoping very much that I will finally get back into the healthy basic life/health/etc. principles (neglected by my toxic parents) he taught me that I have struggled with getting back to for some years now. I was 29 when I met him, and so 29 years later, I think now is high time to refresh all of that. Prayers/good vibes welcome.
