My mum’s physical recovery is slow but the doctors think that the combination of the stroke and the MS make it unlikely she will live independently again. She would really like to, even if long term it’s impossible. We just don’t know right now how it will work, and life feels full of hard decisions and things which are hard to accept. Please do keep praying for us!
Hope your brother has got back to you and you can make the decision on when to visit your oldest brother@huia. I know what it’s like to try and understand people on the phone when you’re deaf. It makes a stressful situation worse.
Prayers for all that need them.
I've been in similar situations: when my parents were at the "end of life", David and I made the decision to be there for the funeral rather than the end, so that David could play the organ for the service.

Praying for you both, @Telepath!
Exactly what I was thinking, Priscilla. I know I couldn't have coped with sitting with David on my own.
<votive> for all

My youngest bro will ring me in about 3 or 4 hours time, hopefully with an update.
I know it sounds brutal, but I can only afford to go up there once.

For @Huia and G.
I'm not quite sure when I'm going to Wellington - either today or tomorrow, depending on when I can get Aroha into the cattery.
Probably won't be able to post again until I get back.
